A Thousand Voices – “Where Is The Enemy” Official Video
Earlier this year, local band A Thousand Voices asked me to film the video for their debut single – “Where is the Enemy”. I was recommended to them by Will Gatley of Burn the Headlines, another band I had filmed a video for. I met the band at a local studio to discuss their ideas and heard them play…they were LOUD! We quickly agreed to work together and started to look for suitable locations. After some searching and a few dead-ends, an industrial park was settled on which we agreed suited the song.

It was a tad chilly!
The weather started to look decidedly bad for the day we had scheduled the shoot for. Heavy snow was forecast and the exposed location wouldn’t help matters, either. When the day of the shoot arrived, we got off quite lightly with rain from the previous night. After lots of slipping and sliding about, it didn’t take long to realise that the puddles were all frozen. It looked like we were going to have to watch our step!

On the plus side, the conditions made for a great backdrop for the video and the water reflected beautifully. We filmed several run-throughs of the song with the band doing their best to warm up between takes. I then concentrated on each member of the band for the entire song giving us plenty of cutaway shots. Once we had the main content, I shot some solo sequences and also took some stills for the band to use for publicity purposes.

That’s a wrap!
All in all, it was a productive shoot and we were pleased viewing the rushes before finally calling it a wrap. It was cold and tiring, we were all pleased to call it a day and get warm and fed. But what a great day’s shooting with the C200…I was really pleased with the way the camera performed. Kieran, the band’s’ (very talented) drummer had the job of editing the footage for release, as the band wanted to keep costs down. I think the final result is pretty damned good and look forward to seeing them play live when I get a free evening! Have a look at the video below and let me know what you think! If you like what you hear, why not give their Facebook page a look?
If you are a band or singer and would like a video produced, feel free to look me up.
