I was beavering away at my Mac editing some photos that I had shot last week, when my daughter came up into the Design Attic to show me what she’d been up to. She recently listened to a song by Counting Crows called “I am the Scarecrow”…and was inspired by the video. Experimenting with her make-up for hallowe’en with the visage you see here. I was quite taken aback…it looked stunning!
I decided to take a break and switched off the computer, set up my Elinchrom studio lights and background for an impromptu photoshoot. (my passport photo needed taking anyway) We spent an hour or so having fun experimenting with lighting setups and posing. Afterwards, we applied different looks to the images and composited an image of the moon that I had taken. All in all we were quite pleased with the results of such an unplanned photoshoot!
Trying different styles of photography and portraiture is always refreshing. If you have a look in mind for a photo shoot, please get in touch for a chat. I’m always happy to help!
